Introduction

The Diploma in Hotel Management aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international hotel industry, and a knowledge of the underlying principles involved.

The program requires students to demonstrate interpersonal, self-study and research and presentation skills throughout the qualification. Assessments are developed to encourage these skills that will provide students with a very strong foundation for further studies in hospitality and tourism sectors.

Duration
Full Time – 06 months Full Time Training and Assessment Program.
Classes are conducted based on 8-hour sessions held twice weekly.

Progression Pathway
Diploma -> Advanced Diploma -> Bachelor Degree

Entry Requirements
Singaporean applicants should possess the minimum academic qualifications:

  • A minimum Grade 7 in GCE ‘O’ Level or ‘N’ Level and;
  • A minimum of 3 GCE ‘O’ Level or ‘N’ Level credits or regional equivalent, or
  • NITEC Qualification, or
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Food and Beverage Service

Malaysian applicants should possess the minimum academic qualifications:

  • A minimum of grade 6 in SPM English
  • Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM)

Applicants should be at least 17 years of age at the time of registration.
Mature applicants without the minimum academic qualification may also apply for the programme provided they:
- Have at least 2 years of working experience in the hospitality industry;
- Provide a resume with contact details of past and present employers.
All applications are subject to centre assessment of eligibility for entry into the programme.

Examination Methods
The examination papers are set and marks by The Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH), United Kingdom.
THE CTH Diploma examinations are held in January, June and September of every year. Each of the modules has a two and a half hour examination.
Upon completion of the 10 module examinations with a minimum pass grade of 40%, students would be awarded the CTH Diploma in Hotel Management

The management would not collect full amount of the course fee from any students admitted.
